Chapter Summary
After hearing Donald’s report, Berlit’s expression darkens, and he remains silent for a moment. "After the Face Spider falls silent, Berlit places his hand on the edge of the desk, and the spider in his palm quickly crawls back into its box. After settling in, he shakes his sleeve, and another Face Spider crawls out, making its way onto the back of his hand.
In a lavishly decorated study somewhere in Tivian, Berlit, a high-ranking member of the Eight-Spired Nest, leans against the cold railing of a balcony.
Despite wearing only a thin vest and shirt, he shows no sign of feeling the chill.
His hand is slightly outstretched, and in his palm rests a large spider.
The spider’s abdomen is adorned with intricate patterns that twist and form the shape of a human face.
Berlit gazes solemnly at the face-like pattern and speaks.

After a moment, the pattern on the spider twists, and a respectful male voice emerges.
"Lord Berlit, Mr.
Rek hasn’t contacted me since our last meeting four days ago.
