As A Mafia Boss, I Refuse To Be An Extra• Chapter 96

Chapter 96: Beautiful Night IDamian stepped out of Professor Seraphina’s house into the cool night air, his expression completely blank. "Gia, the main consciousness of the Admin AI, is supposed to be neutral for the entire Earth Federation, right? So if I commit crimes or kill some people tonight, will it report anything to the SFD or any other authority?

Chapter 96: Beautiful Night IDamian stepped out of Professor Seraphina’s house into the cool night air, his expression completely blank.

"Aiko, I want to ask you something.

" "Go ahead.

" Aiko’s mature female voice resonated immediately from his watch.

"Gia, the main consciousness of the Admin AI, is supposed to be neutral for the entire Earth Federation, right?

So if I commit crimes or kill some people tonight, will it report anything to the SFD or any other authority?

" He looked up at the night sky as he spoke, his voice perfectly calm and conversational.

The sky was unusually clear tonight.

There were no clouds or any wind.

Every star was visible clearly and the moon was hanging full and bright.

It was beautiful, peaceful and completely indifferent to what was about to happen beneath it.

"Till now, everyone I’ve killed has been either a terrorist or a gangster, so I never needed to ask before.

But tonight...

I might have to kill some regular people.

" His crimson eyes flashed with killing intent.

"...

Gia never interferes in internal matters of the Federation.

" Aiko paused briefly, as if receiving information from somewhere before continuing.

"Unless something directly threatens the entire human race, Gia maintains strict non-interference.

That’s precisely why criminal organizations and terrorist groups continue operating openly across the Federation.

If Gia actually chose to interfere, she could have dismantled every major criminal network within hours.

" "Then why doesn’t she?

" "Because the Federation’s top criminals are also the Federation’s top hierarchy.

When Gia was originally programmed, significant effort was made to ensure she would never interfere in internal political or criminal matters.

The people who built her had very specific reasons for that limitation.

" "Hmm...

" Damian considered this for a moment, his footsteps carrying him silently through the empty campus.

"You’re quite casual about labeling the top hierarchy of the Federation as criminals.

" "It’s not like you don’t already know this.

" Aiko’s voice carried something almost like dry amusement.

"Ever since I became your AI assistant, I’ve watched you carefully.

You understand how this world operates better than most adults twice your age.

The information isn’t new to you.

I’m simply not pretending otherwise.

" "Fair enough.

So tonight, whatever happens, stays between us.

" "I have no reporting obligations to any authority regarding your personal activities outside Academy grounds.

My primary function is to assist you.

But Gia will know, since she is the main consciousness.

" "Good.

" Damian closed the watch display and looked ahead into the darkness.

Kuro emerged from his shadow, those blood-red eyes glowing faintly in the night.

"Lead the way.

" **** The alley was tucked between two rundown buildings on the outer edge of Tranquil City, far from any main streets or patrol routes.

Five figures stood in the shadows, still in their dark clothes but having removed their masks.

They were passing a cigarette between them, their voices low and casual, as if they’d just come back from a boring evening walk rather than a violent assault attempt.

"She actually teleported...

Can you believe that?

A spatial teleportation ability at E+ rank.

What the hell kind of freak talent does that commoner girl have?

" The tallest one, a lean young man with close-cropped hair, exhaled smoke with genuine irritation.

"It doesn’t matter.

She’s gone.

We need to be more careful next time about who we target.

Can’t have them escaping back to campus.

" "She barely even knew how to use it.

It was clearly accidental.

Survival instinct or something.

" A stocky boy with a shaved head shrugged, taking the cigarette.

"Still pissed me off.

Had her right where we wanted her and then she just vanishes into thin air.

That’s some bullshit.

" "Lucky bitch.

" A third one muttered, pulling at his collar.

"Although honestly?

The struggling made it more interesting while it lasted.

The commoner girls from second year don’t even bother fighting back anymore.

Gets boring when there’s no resistance.

" The others laughed, the sound echoing off the grimy walls.

"True.

This one had fire in her.

Shame she got away.

" The tallest one tossed the cigarette to the ground and stretched.

"Forget her.

She’s back on campus now.

Can’t touch her there without it becoming a massive incident.

We just move on and find another target next–" A raven landed on the alley wall.

It was black as midnight.

Its blood-red eyes fixed on the five of them with an intensity that made the air feel suddenly wrong.

"The hell is that bird?

" The stocky one squinted at it.

"Just a raven.

Probably attracted to the cigarette smell.

" "Its eyes are red...

That’s not normal.

" "You’re being paranoid.

" But nobody could look away from it.

The raven just sat there, perfectly still, staring at them like it was memorizing their faces.

"Shoo it away.

Creepy thing.

" Someone grabbed an empty bottle from the ground and threw it at the bird.

The raven didn’t even flinch as the bottle shattered against the wall beside it.

It just kept staring.

"Okay that’s genuinely unsettling–" CRACK.

A heavy metal pipe materialized out of the darkness and connected with the back of the tallest one’s knee.

The joint bent sideways with a sickening snap.

"AHH–" BOOMHis scream was cut short as something grabbed him by the throat and slammed him into the wall.

Everything happened so fast the others barely had time to register it.

By the time they turned to react, two more of them had already been taken down.

One had his face driven into the brick wall, his nose shattering, teeth breaking, blood spraying across the grimy surface.

Another had both arms wrenched behind his back with enough force to dislocate both shoulders simultaneously, the wet popping sounds making even his companions flinch.

The remaining two scattered, reaching for their weapons, their Auras flaring desperately.

"WHAT THE HELL IS–" Damian stepped into the dim light of the alley.

He was shirtless, his jacket gone, his crimson hair loose around his face.

His eyes were flat and emotionless, carrying none of the cold amusement or manic energy from his usual confrontations.

Just emptiness.

Complete and absolute emptiness.

Which was somehow far more terrifying than any expression he’d ever worn.
