Immortal in The Apocalypse

Zhu Lin looked at her rabbit with questions in her eyes, but her mouth was busy chewing, so she didn’t speak.

Tu Tu stored the jar of spices back into its spirit palace and said, "Once in the past, I met an old man on a trip. He said that to make a delicious meal, seasoning and the chef’s skills are indispensable. It turns out that what he said is indeed true."

After hearing what Tu Tu said, Zhu Lin nodded in agreement.

When she opened her eyes and looked up, she noticed that what the first ray of sunlight brought was not purple spiritual energy, but black devil energy instead.

Looking at the devil energy contained in the sunlight, Zhu Lin thought to herself: ’No wonder a mass of black fire suddenly burst out in my meridians. It turned out that this came from the first ray of sunlight. I should be more careful in the future when I’m meditating.’

Zhu Lin immediately took out a small jade bottle, poured out a recovery pill, and swallowed it. After a while, the pain in her meridians and dantian slowly subsided. She calmly put the small jade bottle back into the ice flower pendant, thinking about what to do next.

While she was thinking, she heard some roaring and shouting faintly in the distance. Looking in the direction of the sound, Zhu Lin saw several metal boxes moving towards her. These metal boxes were very similar to what she saw when she first came to this world.

She hugged Tu Tu, picked up Bing Jian and stood up. Then she closed her eyes and cast the Heavenly Eye technique. When she opened her eyes again, her pupils turned bright silver, and she could clearly see thirty kilometers away.

Zhu Lin looked behind those metal boxes, and saw a large group of walking corpses chasing those metal boxes. Some walking corpses are even shrouded in a stronger devil energy. Those walking corpses walk faster and are not as stiff as the others.

After thinking for a few seconds, Zhu Lin walked into the woods and jumped onto a tree. She hid behind the lush foliage and calmly watched the metal boxes and the small horde of walking corpses get closer.

A few minutes later, the first metal box passed her position. From her hiding place, she could clearly see that those metal boxes were full of humans, boxes and sacks. There are four to six people in each metal box. When the second metal box passed by her, one of the walking corpses suddenly jumped to the top of the last metal box.

"Damn it! It’s a speed-type zombie!"

Zhu Lin heard a loud shout from the last metal box. A second later, three men stick their hands and heads out of the window and start shooting the walking corpse on top of the roof of the metal box with their weapons.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The loud gunshots attracted more walking corpses, and one of them cursed again.

"Damn it! Drive faster! Maneuver and throw that zombie down!"

The driver glanced at the man, and said anxiously: "I can’t! If I drive too fast, the car can’t handle it! When the time comes, we will all become dinner for the zombies."

"Damn it! Keep shooting! Don’t let the zombie destroy the roof!"

Hearing what the driver said, the man cursed again and continued to shoot at the speed-type zombie. When they fought with the speed-type zombie, the large group of zombies behind them grew bigger and bigger, attracted by the gunshots.

’Zombies? Car? So those puppets are called zombies in this world, and that metal box is a car.’

Zhu Lin looked at the large group of zombies thoughtfully. When she looked at those zombies just now, she found that some zombies had a crystal containing spiritual energy in their upper dantian. She also found out that the thicker the devil energy shrouding the zombie, the purer and richer the spiritual energy contained in the crystal.

’Do these zombies have the same crystal as the giant snake? If this theory is correct, then I can get the same crystals from these zombies. By eliminating these evil beings, I can also accumulate good karma and clean this world from evil beings. This is killing three birds with one stone.’

Thinking of this, Zhu Lin’s eyes lit up. She looked at the sleeping rabbit, thought about it, and stuffed the rabbit into her clothes. Holding her sword, she waited until the cars were gone before jumping down from the tree.
