After tasting the cereal, Zhu Lin frowned slightly and said, "It tastes weird."

Tu Tu looked at her expression and said with a smile: "Master, if you don’t like it, don’t eat it."

After Xiu Wu came out of the bathroom, he went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for him and Zhu Lin. After having a hearty breakfast, Zhu Lin looked at Tu Tu and said, "I’m going out to buy ore with Xiu Wu. Be careful when going out later."

Tu Tu nodded and said, "Yes, Master."

Hearing Tu Tu’s obedient answer, Zhu Lin gently patted Tu Tu’s head and said, "Then I’m leaving now."

After leaving the apartment building, the two of them walked towards the main entrance of the base. When they got there, they saw many people queuing at the gate.

Zhu Lin tugged on Xiu Wu’s cloak lightly and asked curiously: "Xiu Wu, do you know what is happening here?"

When she asked, Xiu Wu smiled and asked, "Should we go and find out?"

Zhu Lin agreed, and the two of them walked towards a soldier guarding one of the gates. That soldier was one of the soldiers who fought with them when the mutant mosquitoes attacked the base, so he remembered them.

Seeing them coming, the soldier looked at them with a smile and asked, "Hello, are you two going out today?"

Xiu Wu nodded and said, "Yes. What is going on here?"

The soldier glanced at the crowd, then looked at Xiu Wu and asked, "You mean those people?"

Xiu Wu nodded and the soldier said, "They are all going out to mine ore."

After hearing the soldier’s answer, Xiu Wu and Zhu Lin exchanged looks. The soldier saw their little action and asked, "You two are also going out to mine ore?"

Xiu Wu thought for a while and said calmly: "We are going to set up a stall outside to buy ore."

As soon as he finished speaking, not only the soldier, but also everyone present looked at him in surprise. After a moment of silence, one of the people queuing out suddenly asked, "Are you no longer going to the market to set up a stall?"

After Xiu Wu finished answering, a middle-aged man asked, "Are you going to open the stall all day?"

Xiu Wu looked at the curious crowd and said, "Our stall is open from noon to sunset. The location is at the intersection of this base and Lie Huo Base. When we collect enough ore, we will stop buying ore."

Without waiting for anyone to ask any more questions, Zhu Lin took out a bottle of water and handed it to the soldier and asked, "Can you open the gate for us?"

After glancing at the excited crowd, the soldier took the water and said, "We have received intelligence that several teams saw a high rank zombie not far from the Lie Huo Base yesterday. You two should be careful out there."

After thanking the soldier for the information he shared, Xiu Wu and Zhu Lin left the base. The moment those people saw them leaving, they became anxious and shouted to the soldiers approving the document on the gate.

"Comrade, can you please hurry up? I need to collect enough ore before sunset." A man shouted impatiently to the soldiers.

Behind him, a group of young men also said, "Exactly. If we can’t sell the ore today, we won’t have anything to eat. Are you going to be responsible to us?"

Xiu Wu and Zhu Lin did not realize that the soldiers had to work harder to control the crowd because of them. Not long after they left the base, Xiu Wu suddenly said, "Xiao Lin, there is an oil refinery not far from here. Let’s go and have a look."

Zhu Lin didn’t know what he wanted by going to the oil refinery, so she only nodded and followed Xiu Wu silently. After walking for more than an hour, Zhu Lin saw the oil refinery.

When she saw the huge oil tanks neatly arranged in the open space, she asked, "Are all those big tanks filled with oil?"

"I don’t know. We need to check if there is still oil in these tanks first. Since there are many bases around this area, I don’t have high expectations that there will be some oil left." Xiu Wu replied while putting the map back into his backpack.

Listening to his answer, Zhu Lin looked at the huge oil tanks and said, "There should be some oil left."

Just as they reached the gate, Xiu Wu and Zhu Lin suddenly jumped back at the same time. The next second, three fireballs shot out from nowhere and hit the place where they had just stood.

When the dust settled, Zhu Lin saw a group of people standing not far from her and Xiu Wu behind the opened gate. Looking at the man standing in front of the others, Zhu Lin felt that he looked familiar. Before she could ask Xiu Wu if he knew that man, the man’s eyes fell on her and his eyes lit up.

He licked his lips slowly, looked at Zhu Lin from head to toe intensely, and said, "She is mine. None of you can touch her."
